DGAC Committees

  Committees

The INTEREC & NARLA Committees exist to serve the members by providing information and taking the views back to regulators.  The Membership & Program Committees are designed for members to help shape their member benefits.

INTEREC

INTEREC

The INTEREC Committee follows international regulatory issues with respect to the transport of dangerous goods. Through approved DGAC delegations, various Committee members, other eligible persons (see DGAC Delegation Guidelines) and staff participate in meetings of international regulatory bodies that have granted DGAC authority to participate.  Members of the Committee and/or DGAC staff prepare draft papers on specific issues of interest for submission to the appropriate international meeting.

NARLA

NARLA

The NARLA Committee follows Canadian, Mexican and U.S. regulatory and legislative activities that affect the transport of hazardous materials/dangerous goods. Members of the Committee and/or DGAC staff prepare draft comments on specific issues or regulatory dockets for submission to the appropriate governmental authority. These drafts are considered by the Committee during regularly scheduled meetings.

Program

PROGRAM

The Program Committee has the primary responsibility of developing the core content for the annual conference program as well as other programs needed for quarterly meetings, education, and training.  As a volunteer, you will participate in monthly and bi-weekly conference calls to decide on speakers and presenters for educational workshops, breakout sessions, and all core content that is delivered. You will see your contributions and ideas come to fruition when attending scheduled quarterly meetings and training throughout the year, as well as attending the Annual Conference.
