Logistics Safety Specialist

We are looking for an experienced candidate to work in our Corporate Logistics Group, located in City Center Philadelphia. Rohm and Haas is a member of Responsible Care® and is committed to environment, health, safety and sustainability in all our logistics practices.

The successful candidate will help ensure the safe, complaint and secure distribution of our materials. The candidate will work closely with our businesses, shipping locations and business services group (Logistics, Procurement, EHS and Law) to provide transportation regulatory, risk management and logistics security support for all modes of transportation. This includes managing our internal motor carrier compliance program and our logistics service provider audit program. The candidate will also act as a liaison with transportation agencies (e.g., DHS, DOT, and FMCSA) and U.S. trade associations.

The successful candidate should have several years experience in the US logistics industry and have a working knowledge of the transportation regulations. A college education is required, with a science/chemistry degree preferred. The candidate must have strong communication, influencing and project management skills.

This position reports to the Director, Global Logistics Safety and will require some domestic travel. The position has significant room for advancement, with an opportunity to facilitate and lead our global logistics safety processes.
